Western wear and leather go together like a horse and saddle, you cannot have one without the other! So when “Cowgirl Kim” stumbled across Wild Instincts she just knew she had to carry their unique and awe inspiring leather clothing! And once we heard their story we fell even further in love! Caryl and Cheryl are twin sisters that grew up on a farm only miles away from the Lakota Sioux Reservation! Growing up in a place so rich with history made a lasting impression on the twins! In their adult lives they experienced the loss of a daughter. Caryl and Cheryl began to search for an outlet that came in the form of a pair of Harley Davidson motorcycles. As they embarked on their new journey as a modern day Thelma and Louise they came to the realization that most leather clothing was designed for men. Desiring a more feminine look and fit, the sisters began designing their own pieces! Their girlfriends began to take notice and sought out the same look. Their design list grew larger and larger, from chaps to vests, to bags and so much more! It soon turned into what is now “Wild Instincts”. The roots of their upbringing and the Lakota Sioux influence was evident in their designs and still do to this day! To ensure the highest quality the sisters use only the highly sought after fallow deer leather because of its durability and suppleness. With designs you have to see to believe and a beautiful story we highly recommend you check out our Wild Instincts page and help keep this talented families dream alive!
